Guest Speaker

Carrie Minns came into our class to teach us about food photography.  Some of the main things that I learned were that light is very important and give a picture a different feel, also that natural light is much better than artificial.   I also learned that your area doesn't have to be clean looking, like you can have your ingredients of your meal laying around your final product.  These are some of the pictures we took for our group competition.

Compare and Contrast

Editorial
 Fine Art

I found the difference from fine art to editorial is most fine art is of whole food, things you haven't cooked.  Then editorial is mostly cooked, prepared food.  I also find that fine art is more clean looking when editorial is kind of messy and realistic looking.
